Alice Benson lives in Wisconsin with her wife and their small dog, Max. She discovered writing as a passion in the third act of her life and devotes as much time as possible to it.

Big News! Alice’s newest works are collaborations with her granddaughters. She and Greta wrote a middle-grade novel. Trapped in a Tablet was published by Watchful Wizard Publishing in June 2025. Nana Was a Bootlegger, written with Genevieve, is a young adult novel. It was also published by Watchful Wizard Publishing and went live in April 2026.

Alice’s most recent adult novel, The Life That She Wanted, was published by Running Wild Press on April 27, 2026.

Alice’s first novel, Her Life is Showing, published in January of 2014 by Black Rose Writing, is still available as a self-published Kindle book. Her second novel, A Year in Her Life, was released by Black Rose Writing in July of 2019, and is currently out of print.
